    Warranty and Warranty Activation

    The SoundGear product comes standard with a one-year limited warranty. If you purchased your SoundGear devices directly from SoundGear.com you will not need register your devices for the one-year warranty, they will automatically be registered in our system on the day they ship.

    If you did not purchase your SoundGear devices directly from SoundGear.com, you will have to activate the warranty. To activate the warranty, please email a copy of your purchase receipt, first/last name and the serial numbers for your devices to customersupport@soundgearhearing.com.The serial numbers for your devices will be an 8-digit number located on the bottom of the SoundGear packaging. You can also find these numbers on the battery door of the Behind-The-Ear product or on the bottom of the battery slot for the Instant Fit devices.

    Can I still hear my surroundings?

    Yes, SoundGear electronic hearing protection provides 100% digital sound enhancement designed to deliver superior environmental monitoring between gun shots.

    How is SoundGear different than earmuffs?

    Most earmuffs are big and bulky and reduce all sounds, including gun blasts. SoundGear electronic hearing protection devices are small, convenient, fit in your pocket and are designed to protect your hearing from gun blasts while simultaneously enhancing environmental awareness.

    What credit cards do you accept?

    SoundGear accepts Visa, Master Card and Discover.

    Do you accept international orders?

    SoundGear does accept online orders from outside the U.S. If you have trouble placing an international order, please contact us at 800.769.8605 or email us at customersupport@soundgearhearing.com.

    How soon will I receive my order?

    Orders placed Monday-Friday before 4:30 PM CST will begin processing that day (excluding holidays) and usually ship in 1-2 business days pending availability and payment verification.* All orders placed after 4:30 PM CST will begin processing the next business day. Orders placed on Friday after 4:30 PM CST will begin processing on the following Monday. SoundGear will contact you if we need additional identification for credit certification. We use Federal Express service for delivery, and therefore are unable to deliver to APO/FPO addresses, as well as P.O. Boxes. We do not offer Saturday delivery.
    *Delivery time does not include Saturdays, Sundays or Holidays.

    I have a hearing loss; can I wear SoundGear as my hearing aid?

    SoundGear is intended to be used as a hearing protection and enhancement device. Depending on which model you choose, they can offer a significant level of amplification. Unlike hearing aids, they are not programmable to an individual's specific hearing loss and it is not recommended that the SoundGear product be used as a substitute for a hearing aid. 

    How do I clean my SoundGear device?

    Instant Fit In-The-Canal:

    Remove the device from the orange silicone sleeves and use the cleaning brush to clean debris from around the microphone, receiver and battery compartment. Never use water, solvents, cleaning fluids or oil to clean your device. The plastic sleeves can be cleaned with soap and water. Allow the sleeves to dry completely before inserting the device back into the sleeve.

    Custom ITE:

    Use the cleaning brush to clean debris from around the microphone, receiver and battery compartment. Never use water, solvents, cleaning fluids or oil to clean your device. SoundGear ITE's come standard with wax protection filters called Hear Clear™ Receiver Wax Guards. These filters are in place to keep wax, debris and oil out of the devices receiver. If your device seems to have a faint level of amplification it is likely that the filter is plugged with wax and needs to be changed. Please refer to the SoundGear operations manual you received with your devices or click on the following link for instructions on how to properly replace the filter. SoundGear Operation Manual

    How long will my batteries last?

    SoundGear #10 batteries typically last 6-8 days under normal usage conditions once activated.

    SoundGear #13 batteries typically last 18-20 days under normal usage conditions once activated.

    Once SoundGear hearing aid batteries are activated, the battery will continue to drain even if it is out of the device or the device is turned "off."

    What is the return/trial policy?

    Satisfaction is guaranteed on all SoundGear products purchased by consumers directly from SoundGear. We want you to be thrilled, so if you're not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, simply return it within the 30-day trial period for a full refund.

    What about returning or exchanging a holiday gift?

    If you receive a holiday gift purchased directly from SoundGear between November 1 and December 31, you have until January 31 to return or exchange it. Please follow the instructions below.

    How do I make a return?

    Contact us at customersupport@soundgearhearing.com or call 800.769.8605 for instructions on starting the return process. Once instructions are given, securely pack and seal the return merchandise and receipt in an appropriate shipping box. Send back using an insured service to the following address:

    In case of a return, when will my credit card be refunded?

    Upon receiving your device, your refund will typically be processed within five business days. Please note that your banking institution may require additional days to process and post a credit card transaction to your account once they have received the information from SoundGear.
